Khayma stands for the traditional tent used by the nomadic tribes in the dessert. By extension, it also stands for the family, the home or the tribe as a whole. The Kyayma rugs by Louis de Poortere are designed for confort and partly for decoration too but are flat woven so just 3-5mm thick and are perfect under furniture in the Living room or Dining Room.
