Outdoor living is what summer nights are all about. With the hot weather upon us, it’s that time of the year to spruce up your garden/patio area, ready for hosting that BBQ this summer.
Outdoor rugs are not only stylish and pretty, they are also beneficial if your patio is a little worn, or your garden ground is less than perfect.
Buying Guide: Things to consider when buying an outdoor rug
Add anti-slip matting under the rug if it’s slipping. A little extra padding will also make it look thicker.
Outdoor rugs do not necessary have to be constrained to the outside – because they’re made of synthetic, they can be a great option for high-traffic areas in the home too, such as hallways or the kitchen.
When buying, make sure to look out for the 100% polypropylene label – this indicates its weather/ water resistance.
Caring for an outdoor rug
In cold climates, remember to clean and roll up you outdoor rug and keep in storage until the weather starts to warm up a little. (Top tip: never fold a rug, always make sure to roll it).
Do not forget to clean both sides
Generally speaking, you should vacuum our outdoor rug monthly and spot clean using diluted soap where necessary.
